Installation steps (reading the fan installation instructions thoroughly). 1. Remove the light fixture in the ceiling. With the electricity off, slowly remove the shade, bulbs, and fixture screws in the electrical junction box within the ceiling. Let the skeleton fixture hang there. Test the fan and lights. After turning the electricity back on, flip the wall switch to on. Set the pull-chain switches as desired. Often, the fan lighting is set into the future on while using wall switch, whilst the fan itself is controlled by the pull-chain switch only, initially set within the off position.
